...a computer speaker?

There's five of these encircling me while sitting at my PC. So it was only a matter of time before one of them ended up on my scanner.

Was scanned lengthwise, but rotated ninety degrees.

They don't sound too bad either.

Just a quick rant on computer speakers. I remember my first pair of pc speakers, a prepackaged pair that came with my computer by default. While they weren't bad for the time, I had no idea the kind of quality computer speakers that were out there. When I bought a new computer 2 years ago, one of the first things I made sure to do was also invest in a good pair of speakers. My current speaker set up has a sub-woofer, a horizontal dual sided mounted speaker, and 4 vertical standalone speakers. The difference is UNBELIEVABLE in terms of the crispness of the audio, the clarity of the bass and treble, the depth of each layer of sound etc. And this is for music and mp3s as well as watching tv or movies on your pc. Here is a good guide that gives a bit of detail about picking and choosing components for a new speaker system for your computer. I know most people who still have inferior speakers will think to themselves "What's the difference? Speakers are speakers. If I can hear the sound at all, then I'm hearing it as best as I can." If this is you, and you have the money to do so, do yourself a favor and upgrade your speakers. You won't have to break the bank in order to do so either. I have seen online retailers offer good systems on sale for as low as $29.99. Just keep checking until you can find a good deal. They're out there.
